From the New Yorker: The Steve Jobs Sound

Steve Jobs pretty much turned Apple products into devices no one can live without in a matter of 10 years (with the intro of the iPod in 2001).  Right now, I'm writing on my iMac, I've got my iPad in my lap and my iPhone is a mere thumbs length away.

Sadly, Jobs announced his retirement yesterday--after posting a 900% return on Apple stock in his tenure. 

The New Yorker looks back on Steve's revolutionary vision--to have people pay for downloadable music, it's success and how it changed the landscape of the world.
